I remember reading about these a while back & just happened to find them on archive.org after searching for the Animal Collective stuff. It's the Conet Project, a four-disc collection of shortwave radio "numbers stations", rumored to be used for secret message transmission of spy message over the past few decades. Some of the transmissions are mixed with odd repeating music or just Yoko Ono-esque vocal repetitions of the same number over and over. Weird & intriguing stuff.
